Commissioner Hart Stebbins's Next Monthly Luncheon on March 20

03/05/2019

Bernalillo County Commissioner Maggie Hart Stebbins invites all to her next monthly neighborhood luncheon on Wednesday, March 20, noon-1 p.m., at McKinley Community Center, 3401 Monroe NE.

The speaker this month is Joseph M. Oder, a member of the Senior Executive Service and Executive Director of the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC) at Kirtland Air Force Base.

Headquartered at Kirtland AFB, AFNWC is responsible for synchronizing all aspects of nuclear materiel management on behalf of Air Force Materiel Command, in direct support of Air Force Global Strike Command. The center has about 1,100 personnel, military and civilian, assigned to 18 locations worldwide.

A U.S. Air Force Academy graduate, Mr. Oder has served as an officer and a civilian in the U.S. Air Force and the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) within the Department of Energy. He has more than 25 years of experience in nuclear weapons and counter proliferation.

In 2018 the White House recognized Mr. Oder as an Air Force recipient of the Presidential Rank Award for Meritorious Executive. Air Force recipients of the Presidential Rank Awards are endorsed by the Deputy Secretary of Defense, reviewed by a board of private citizens from across the country and approved by the president.

This is a Brown Bag Luncheon – you bring a sandwich and we will provide the beverages. An RSVP to jhartley@bernco.gov is appreciated.

Please feel free to share with your friends, neighbors and association memberships.
